About Us    The Olde Picket Fence is located in historic Hartville, Ohio, which is located just east of the Akron-Canton area. (Click here for dirctions/map) We draw many visitors yearly from surrounding states, and we're a favorite shopping spot of locals and tourists alike. Owners Wanda and Bill Rayman will celebrate their 20th year of business in the Fall of 2008. Our store boasts some very talented craftsmen, artisans, and seamstresses. In fact, some have been a part of our store from the beginning! We specialize in primitives and country decor which includes made-to-order reproduction furniture and shutters, country clothing, custom curtains, berry baskets and wreaths, woodcrafts, rag quilts and wall hangings, pillows, stitcheries, florals, textiles, lampshades, homespun fabrics, candles, tartwarmers, potpourri and room sprays, pip berries, wool penny rugs, seasonal items and . . . . well, you just have to plan a visit to see it all! New items will be added all the time, so check back often!   TOUR OUR HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE, 2007Our Holiday Open House is held each year on the second week-end of November. All our crafters and customers look forward to this the official kick-off of the holiday season. The entire store is festively decorated. This past year our theme was Candy Canes.
